The research carried out in this area is part of the investigations carried out today jointly in cognitive sciences, the sociology of interaction, the political science of opinion and anthropology concerning the mechanisms of the construction of beliefs, opinions, representations, rumours, behaviour or norms, the role played by the influence of others and the mechanisms of their dissemination in populations. This research is decisive for understanding the dynamics of cultures (see next axis) or the dissemination of new ideas or behaviour in populations.
