This area focuses on how Africa is linked to its multiple neighborhoods: Euro- Mediterranean; Middle East; Atlantic area; Indian Ocean. Addressing this issue requires reflection on Africa’s conception of its role in the world. Indeed, the dynamics underlying these spaces have geopolitical and geo-economic implications on the continent. From an African point of view, the fundamental question is: how to make African spaces a crossroad with other regions in an increasingly interdependent world ?
