Cheick Anta Diop University in partnership with the Social Sciences, Economics and Humanities Cluster organize the 3rd edition of the CEID on May 30th, in Dakar.

The first two editions of the CEID were held under the high patronage of His Excellency Mr. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal, and brought together more than five hundred panelists, speakers, and young entrepreneurs from 26 countries who were able to share their expertise and research on various topics of interest for development policies in Africa. Building on the great success of the first two editions of the CEID, we expect to gather even more partners and participants in 2024.

The program of the 2024 conference will be rich and varied to promote exchanges of experiences, mobilization, and sharing of knowledge as well as networking. It will include plenary sessions given by internationally renowned keynote speakers, roundtable discussions led by experts from different backgrounds, sessions for free communications open to researchers from all backgrounds, an entrepreneurship fair, and various activities.

About Cheick Anta Diop University, Dakar: 

The University of Dakar was officially founded in 1957. In 1987, it adopted the name Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar. It comprises 11 faculties, 4 institutes dedicated to teaching and research, as well as 8 university institutes focused on research. It is also the host of the Inter-State School of Veterinary Sciences and Medicine, a regional institution established within the framework of the former OCAM.
