The Global Affairs MA program is aimed at providing a rigorous professional, interdisciplinary education to train the next generation of leaders of global institutions, think tanks, global civil society, and the private sector. It also aims to equip students with in-depth knowledge and the contextual perspectives needed to become successful, well-rounded professionals and leaders in a complex world. Emphasis is therefore laid on intellectual curiosity, interdisciplinarity, and regular engagement with policy makers and institutions. The program generally focuses on how states, inter-governmental and global non-state actors interact with each other in a globalized world.
The Master Global Affairs takes place over two years. Each year is divided into 2 semesters. The first three semesters are devoted to the teaching of modules: 6 modules per semester. The fourth semester is devoted to the completion of a master’s thesis.

The study program opens many career opportunities at the national and international levels. This is especially important in an increasingly competitive job market in which graduates of this program can assume a variety of roles as researchers, senior-level leaders at international, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. The program also prepares graduates to become senior diplomats and policymakers. For those candidates who successfully complete this MA study program and who wish to pursue a doctoral degree, it is the perfect path to join the University’s new PhD program in Political Science and Global Studies.
