Professor Mohamed El Guide conducted this week’s AIRESS Research Seminar, where he shared insightful research on how people perceive future climate change outcomes. Using data from a representative sample of Dutch households, the study explored how individuals think about future winter temperatures through climate-related betting tasks. The findings revealed three main groups — Believers, Moderates, and Skeptics — and showed how these perceptions are connected to climate concern, political trust, and sociodemographic factors.
