On Thursday, April 16th, the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences hosted a high-level workshop on Economic Sanctions and Compliance, bringing together distinguished experts including our Vice-Dean Rabha Zeidguy, our Professor Martial Manet, Paul Charlo (lawyer at the Paris Bar), Safana Benyahia (National Observatory of Crime), and Najoua Benmadani (National Financial Intelligence Authority). The workshop fostered rich interdisciplinary exchanges on the legal, economic, and institutional dimensions of sanctions and compliance frameworks. Discussions went beyond theory, offering practical perspectives on enforcement mechanisms, risk management, and international cooperation.
