Professor Faiçal Hossaini conducted this week the AIRESS Research Seminar titled “Fiscal Shocks and Real Exchange Rate in a Multi-Sector Small Open Economy.” The session took place on Wednesday, December 10th at the UM6P Rabat Campus.
During the seminar, Professor Hossaini presented a small open economy model that distinguishes between tradable and non-tradable sectors while integrating a detailed fiscal block. His work examines how different fiscal tools, including government spending, public investment, and various forms of taxation, shape macroeconomic dynamics and influence real exchange rate movements.
