On Wednesday, November 19th, Mamadou Abdoulaye Diallo, Post-doctoral Fellow at FGSES, conducted a research seminar on “Insecurity and institutional trust in the context of a coup d’état: The case of Mali.” Drawing on Afrobarometer data and conflict-event records from ACLED, his presentation examined how insecurity shapes institutional trust in fragile and conflict-affected settings, revealing non-linear and regime-contingent dynamics before and after Mali’s recent coups.
