International Conference - Africa–Europe Relations in an Age of Global Reshuffle:

The Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS), in collaboration with the Jean Monnet Policy Debate Network NEAR-ER, hosted an international conference titled “Africa–Europe Relations in an Age of Global Reshuffle: Diverging Visions, Shared Futures” at the UM6P Rabat Campus, from October 20th to 22nd.

The opening ceremony featured allocutions by Karim El Aynaoui, Dean of the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences and Executive Vice-President of UM6P, and Walter Zampieri, Head of Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, who emphasized the importance of deepening academic and policy dialogue between Africa and Europe.

Across the sessions, participants explored topics ranging from energy, risk, and justice to democracy, rule of law, governance, and security.
