Laurence Burgorgue-Larsen, Professor of Public Law at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, conducted a research seminar on Wednesday, September 17th, at UM6P Rabat Campus.
During the seminar, she examined the interpretative methods used by regional human rights courts, including the African, Inter-American, and European courts, to safeguard democracy. She explored how these courts balance legal interpretation with the protection of democratic principles, highlighting both the challenges and successes in different regions.
The session sparked a rich discussion among students and faculty, offering valuable insights into the crucial role of legal frameworks in promoting accountability, governance, and the rule of law across the world.
