The Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) hosted a three-day conference from February 12th to 14th on ''Cognitive Science of Belief and Misinformation'' brining together international researchers and scholars to explore the intricate dynamics of cognition, belief formation and the dissemination of misinformation.

This conference featured keynote speeches from leading experts in the field to interactive panel discussions, aiming at understanding how cognitive processes influence individuals' susceptibility to misinformation in various societal contexts.
